DAL CURRY -KERALA STYLE



INGREDIENTS

Moong Dal - 3/4 cup

Grated coconut - 1/2 cup

Cumin- 1/2 tsp

Shallots - 6 nos

Turmeric - 1/2 tsp

Green Chilly - 5 nos

Garlic- 4 cloves

Dried red chillies - 2 nos

Curry leaves

Oil

Salt

METHOD

Cook moong dal in pressure cooker adding enough water.

Grind grated coconut, cumin, shallots, garlic, green chillies, garlic, turmeric well.

Heat oil in a pan , splutter mustard seeds. Add 2 chopped shallots,2 chopped green chillies, red chillies, curry leaves and saute it for few minutes.

Add the grounded coconut, and cooked dal to it.

Let it boil. Serve it with rice.
