BEEF FRY/ BEEF ULATHIYATH



INGREDIENTS

Beef - 1/2 kilos

Marination

Shallots - 1 cup

Meat Masala- 2 tbsp

Ginger crushed - 1 tbsp

Garlic crushed - 1 tbsp

Chillie powder - 1 tbsp

Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp

Coriander powder- 2 tbsp

Pepper powder- 1 tbsp

Garam Masala - 1 tsp

Salt - to taste

For Frying

Coconut flakes- a handfull

Curry leaves - plenty

Coconut oil

Shallots - 3 to 4 nos

Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp

METHOD

Marinate clean beef with ingredients listed under marination.Keep it aside for 30 minutes.

Now add 1/2 cup water to this and pressure cook it till the beef is done.

Heat oil in a pan and fry coconut pieces till it become golden brown colour.Keep it aside.

In a fry pan, heat oil and splutter the mustard seeds. Add chopped shallots and curry leaves and fry.

Add the cooked beef and fried coconut flakes to it.

Stir well.Cook on low flame for about 15 - 20 minutes. If required , add oil in between. Stir it till it become black in colour.
