chemmeen curry/ prawns curry
INGREDIENTS
Prawns - 1/2 kilo
Shallots - 5 nos
ginger - 1 small piece
Garlic - 4 nos
Chillie powder- 4 tbsp
turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
salt- as needed
Oil
Mustards
Curry leaves
tamarind/kudam puli- 2 nos
METHOD
In a pan heat oil,add mustard seeds and let it splutter.Then add shallots, curry leaves,chopped ginger and garlic and saute for few minutes.
Reduce the flame . Add chillie powder, turmeric powder and saute for few minutes.
Add water and let it boil.Add tamarind on boiling.
Add prawns to this and cook .
