CHEMEEN ROAST / PRAWNS ROAST



INGREDIENTS

Prawns - 1/4 kilograms

Chillie powder - 2 tbsp

Pot tamarind(kudam puli) - 2 nos

Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp

Coriander powder - 3/4 tbsp

Pepper - 3/4 tbsp

Garam Masala - 1/2 tbsp

Onion - 1 no

Ginger - 1 small piece

Garlic - 4 nos

Curry Leaves 

Tomato - 1

Salt- as needed

METHOD

Add 1 tbsp chillie powder, salt , water and tamarind to prawns and cook it for 10 to 15 minutes in a closed vessel.

Remove the tamarind from the prawns after cooking. 

In a pan, heat oil then add mustard seeds, chopped onion, ginger, garlic, curry leaves and saute till it turns light brown colour.

Then add turmeric powder,coriander powder, pepper powder, chillie powder and saute it well,then add tomato and water if needed .

Now add the cooked prawns to this mixture and mix it well.

Add salt.

Add garam masala and saute it again.
