BEETROOT THORAN



INGREDIENTS

Grated/ finely chopped beetroot - 1

Grated coconut - 1/2 cup

Shallots - 4 nos

Garlic - 4 cloves

Green Chillie - 3 nos

Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

Curry leaves

Oil

Salt - to taste

METHOD

 Grind grated coconut, garlic, green chillie and turmeric powder coarsely without adding water.

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When it splutters, add shallots, curry leaves, beetroot, ground mix, salt and little water.

Combine well and cook it covered on low flame till done.Stir it occasionally.
